IRON MASK NEW STUDIO ALBUM PROGRESS UPDATE I just finished
recording the last lead guitars on Friday night, everything is
almost ready for mixing, the Iron Mask knights have once again
put their entire soul in our great new album, awesome keys by
Andreas Lindhal, solid bass by Vass,powerfull Ramy Ali drums and
orchestrations by myself! Mark Boals is finishing the last 6
songs, final mastering is scheduled for mid July at Fascination
Street Studio with Jens Bogren!

released, next to the CD version also a limited vinyl edition
(500 copies only) will be made available. The 2-LP in gatefold
sleeve contains 74 minutes of finest neo-classical inspired
Power Metal / Hard Rock, including the only here-to-find bonus
track "March of the Slaves."

IRON MASK
"BLACK AS DEATH" UPDATE
'After
having the material recorded I realised Mark Boals would be the
best singer for most of the new songs, range wise this is my
most technically difficult album to sing, so Mark ended up on 10
songs, Goran Edman on one and Valhala Jr on one, as he is
recovering from a neck surgery and couldn’t do more.
In other
news, I decided to have the great Mats Olausson on all keyboards
so we warmly welcome him in Iron Mask , Ramy Ali on drums,
Vassili Moltchanv on bass and Roma on a few aggressive parts, so
this is the final line up for 'Black as Death'. We will all
meet soon in Europe to shoot the new video clip.
Last but
not least, Marquee Avalon, our Japanese label for ASIA has
already signed 'Black As Death' and 3 more options albums, now
we will start search labels for Europe and USA.
The mix
and production will be done by master mixer Denis Ward at House
of Audio studio early September ( he already did the drums
recording over there with Ramy Ali,assisted by Vassili and me in
March.)

We just came
back from
Hofa studio
in Germany and have recorded all drums for "Black As Death"( 12
songs).
Other
important news - I'm happy and proud to say that Richard
Andersson (Time Requiem. Majestic) is back in business and
he confirmed he will do the keyboard solos on the new album.
Also we have Goran Edman for a couple songs confirmed as
well!!

MASK UPDATES
Many thanks
to all that turned out for the Iron Mask performace at Frostrok,
it was a great gig and we hope to see you all again soon. Our
next gig is at the Prog and Power Metal Fest on 30th April 2011
at the Lotto Mons Expo, we will be playing with the likes of
Europe, Edguy, Rage, Vanden Plas and Gamma Ray amongst others.
Work is progressing well on the new Iron Mask release 'Black As
Death'. Almost 8 songs instrumental backings have been recorded
so far and I'm extremely happy with the new stuff. It looks like
it will be our best release to date. In line with this I can
also announce that the new line up is Ramy Ali (Freedom's Call,
Evidence One) on drums, Carsten "Lizard" Schulz (Evidence One,
ex Domain) on vocals and Steve Wiliams (Power Quest) on
keyboards.

"SYMPHONY OF WAR" WILL BE UNLEASHED ON 29 OCTOBER ON LIMB MUSIC
After 5 years
of hard work and setbacks , we are more than happy about that
release! A great double album for the 12th year anniversary of
Magic Kingdom! This is our most majestic, epic and symphonic
album and first with new lead vocalist Olaf Hayer (ex Dionysus).
"Symphony Of
War" appears like a soundtrack for a blockbuster history movie.
The sound is influenced by classical music, filigree riffing,
big choirs and mighty melodies, notwithstanding first-class
Metal attacks and a well-balanced heaviness. Limited double CD
in deluxe slipcase includes two bonus tracks, video clip.
At the core of the limited edition of the double CD, you'll find
the song "Metallic Tragedy-Chapter 2" the Holy Pentalogy,
divided into 5 separate movements which is almost half an hour
long (29min 06)- it is a perfect epitome of all the band's
trademarks: speedy attacks are accompanied by orchestral,
classical parts, epic and movie score only parts, once again
mixed with the 5 different vocalists/characters of that majestic
and mighty 29 min masterpiece

BAROCK HEROES TOUR CANCELLED
Unfortunately the "Barock
Heroes Tour" is cancelled. The booking agency didn't succeed in
getting confirmations to any of the "promised" gigs. Going
to tour for a couple gigs in Holland and Belgium for the few
confirmed shows isn't possible due to tour bus and flights
costs which are too expensive to make it viable so we can't go
play for a few shows only. Promoters don't seem to care
about neo-classical metal and quality music, let them book
'chicks' metal which is now fashionable. I am really sorry
for all real metal fans who've already e-mailed us and were
really eager and happy to see those 3 excellent bands; hopefully
the future will bring better opportunities.

THANKS A very big 'thank
you' to the 5000 metal heads at the Iron Mask Graspop show.
It was great to see you so early and we just had a blast!!! Now we
are back at work on the new album 'Black as Death'.

coming but we have finished the mix for the new album 'Symphony Of
War' the last couple of days at Uwe Lullis studio, Frankfurt.

stomach surgery Valhala jr will be replaced by the amazing singer
Carsten Shultz from the German band Evidence One.
Rhythm beast Rami Ali (Freedom's Call / Evidence One) is
also our new drummer. Last but not least Phil Giordanna
(Magic Kingdom/ Fairyland) will handle the keys as Andreas is tied
with other work engagements.

I am so sad.
Ronnie James Dio will be forever in our hearts, he has gone much
too soon, he inspired us and he was the best rock singer in the
